Exploring Paths along the Abbot’s Way: Nun’s Cross Farm

Despite spending a considerable numbers of hour on Dartmoor each week I rarely am in a situation where I can take photographs of the wonderful surroundings, least of all because I’m stumbling around in the dark trying not to break my leg on clitter or fall into a disused quarry. Last weekend I was lucky enough to be able to go on a little exploration around Nun’s Cross Farm. I have in my mind’s eye a specific location for a short film and last weekend was dedicated to finding a desolate location where the apparent beauty of Dartmoor can be used to intensify the feeling of isolation caused by physical distance from family and the weight of economic deprivation.
